We want to reflect on the significant moments of this unusual year and outline our goals for 2021.
A positive review on the year 2020
The year 2020 has come to an end, but its impact will forever distinguish a “before” and an “after.” Together as a community, we faced numerous challenges, and some of our cherished hopes and dreams were tested.
But she should remember any negative force does not exist without its opposite. That is why, Vondom, would like to send you all a message of optimism and hope.
So, we would like to review all these moments that have been meant a step forward for our brand and above all, one giant leap for the furniture designer’s industry. Let’s begin!
Our new collections of furniture
In January, we provided a sneak peek of the upcoming releases scheduled for the renowned Maison & Objet event in Paris. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances prevented us from participating in these and other iconic events. Nevertheless, despite these challenges, we remained steadfast in our commitment to innovation.
So, we launched a new range of outdoor and indoor furniture collections such as the Venus planters designed by Marcel Wanders and the Moon and Vineyard daybeds, both designed by Ramón Esteve. We enlarged the Spritz collection and the Faz Wood version was introduced as a warmer reinterpretation of this popular collection.
We continue to bet on children’s designs as a connection between the little ones and their creative spirit, launching mini versions of the Love chair by Eugeni Quitllet and Voxel chair by Karim Rashid.
Recognizing the environmental challenges at hand, we are dedicated to further strengthening our “Revolution” line, which centers around collections crafted from recycled plastics sourced from the Mediterranean Sea.
Our Corporate Magazine
At a corporate level, the publication of the first issue of our Magazine was a milestone for Vondom and we hope to publish many more editions in the near future. We believe this magazine is a more intimate approach to our “Brand´s universe”.
We have also reissued, as usual, the last versions of our Designers, Contract and Green catalogues. We launched new colours for our injection manufactured products, new glad fabrics. All of these additions keep our ground-breaking spirit alive.
Projects and awards
All our efforts were rewarded when Vondom was selected to furnish various types of the most impressive projects and help boost their uniqueness. Amongst these we would like to highlight Casa la Roca, Studio Jiunvfeng, Arrecife Royale and the Alps Lodge.
And most importantly, these recognitions guarantee our excellence. We have been awarded with the most prestigious international design awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, the Green Good Awards, the Delta Awards and the NYC x Design Awards.
Our Objectives in 2021
What will this new year hold for us? As we have shown throughout the years, is that we act, we do not react. Therefore, our goal remains on launching transgressive designs.
During the year we will continue to launch new collections in collaboration with the most prestigious designers in the industry.
We will enrich spaces in homes, offices, restaurants, and other architectural locations. We will continue to incorporate the best quality finishes and products to keep the Mediterranean spirit of Spanish designer furniture more alive than ever.
We will continue to offer the most optimal level of service to strengthen and expand our international presence. In addition, we will participate in some of the most important designer industry events to help support the city of Valencia as World Design Capital in 2022.
Ultimately, nobody knows what tomorrow will bring, but we do know that we will always face the future with enthusiasm. Let’s work together for a better 2021!
